I wish I had shelled out the extra money instead of relying on the cover that came with my firepit for free. It ripped almost immediately and after just one good rain, my firepit got completely rusted out. Too bad they don't just increase the price and include this rain cover in the first place. It's a very expensive solution to what should have been part of the original package, in my opinion. May have to buy another firepit since the first one rusted out within 4 months.

We have enjoyed the 40-inch round fire pit my wife and I purchased late last summer. It came with a rather cheap plastic cover that began developing holes right away.
I rarely write reviews on products. This fire pit cover fits perfectly on the fire pit. We just had some torrential rain these past few days. The elastic band kept the cover on tightly and it worked perfectly. It covers the whole pit even with the domed cover/screen on top. The fabric is very durable. I should have purchased this the same day I bought the fir pit.

Q1: What are the dimensions of the fire pit cover in use? How does the cover synch on the bottom of the fire pit unit?
A: The dimensions of the cover in use are 51 inches wide and 35 inches high. The bottom of the cover is elastic and cinches around the bottom of the fire pit.
Q2: Is this cover waterproof?
A: Yes, this is an all-weather polyester cover.
Q3: If the pit is 36" in diameter and 19.3" high, how low will the 40" cover go down? Is the 40" cover going to cover it?
A: The firepit cover will cover any of the firepits that are not greater than 40 inches in diameter.
Q4: How do you ship?
A: This item would be shipped via FedEx.
Q5: Our bowl is 35 in diameter but sticks up on top due to the mesh metal cover. Would you suggest the 35 or 40 inch cover?
A: According to the manufacturer, the covers account for the top protrusion. She said the 35 inch cover would be a perfect, snug fit.
